boring old days, drifting away

For all the good this will (not) do me:

• Finish WotC ***
• Edit Coffee Under a Dark Sky again. Mai's hitting on Hermione in WotC again, and that is the only way to stop her. (HP/YGO)
• Finish xmas gift fics. (KH, YGO)
• Think about blind_go  fic. (HikaGo)
• Turk!fic for_yaten_kou_ (FVII)
• Get first draft of AMDL done. (That's the HP/FMA sequel thing).***
• Finish old Ryou fic. (YGO/Labyrinth)
• Finish Turning the World Flat (YGO )
• Get Yuugi  the plot straight for the thing. (SG1/YGO)***
• Finish short Yuuko and her bangs fic. (xxxHolic)
• Replot the figurehead 'verse. Go for shorter. The outline being over 10K is bad. (FFVII) ***
• Gut half of SFS and rewrite it, since Hermione deserves become the first wizarding psychologist (HP/YGO thing).**
• ...Write the rest of that damn Pokemon epic!fic so it gets out of your head. (It's the only way to kill it) (Pokemon)**
• Rewrite the first two chapters of the Sakura time travel thing and see if you still like it. (Naruto)**
• Finish the From Here to Serenity fic. Or figure out that the overall plot is too big and gut it. (Firefly/YGO)**
• Get first draft of epic spirit world, pro-Sokka (and Yue) fic done (Avatar: The Last Air Bender)*
• Harry finds out about his crossdressing Japanese uncle and cousin (HP/Ouran)*
• Replot that fic with cryptic slashdragon (Merlin)*
• Reedit WotM (HP/YGO)***
• Dust off old Alanna fic (Tortal)**
• Get the old Al fic done (FMA)

And these are just the fics that I can point to something on my hard drive and say that I've already got something on them. *is scared*

Story of mine, do stop fighting me, please?

(WotC 13 = much hate and love on my part. I need explanations and they are boring.)

So, this bitch of a fic (WotC) decided that its formerly possible sequel was a needed continuation that could not be split into an extra.

This adds somewhere between 10-15 more chapters. Oh, joy. On a slightly happier note, at least I will be writing about other HP characters in the other part. If the fic decides that it wants the third vague part to it (that I'm still not sure exists), I will scream.

Also, next chapter should be upon ff.net in a day or two, luck holding. I need to proofread and make sure it's not utter crap. Since it was all typed up about six hours (I ended up deleting my first crack at this chapter), we'll see how it goes.

My god! Since when has weekly_ygo  been up and running again?! I was bummed for weeks after it stopped, muttering darkly about the death of YGO fandom would soon be nigh (oh, how wrong I was; 5Ds, that all I need say --well that, and "dueling on motorcycles? WTF!")

Actually, in general this week has been really good to me fandom wise. (All of you YGO fen should go read esama's Yesterday's Lessons, btw. It's sad, twists, and hurts. It might seem OOC, but I think it makes sense in the wake of end of the series).

In other news, I also discovered Hogan's Heroes fanfic.

Also, for my less than regular report on writing status, WotC 9: Roughly 50% done. It's gonna be a long chapter.


ETA: Another thing to note. I've not slept in about 24 hours. I posted this without spell-checking, which alone is bad sign (I failed third grade spelling, and have long since come to terms with this, mostly by worshiping the mighty spell-check goddess). So, if I come bouncing along with fic anytime before tomorrow, do a kind mercy, and shoot me. I can't proofread worth a damn tired (as any one who has read any substantial amounts of my fic knows).

It's almost been two weeks since the last time I updated WotC. My plan to finish it before the end of July seems to be failing. My own laziness. *sigh*

So I've decided to see if I can blitz though the rest of the chapter today. My rough outline has been done for about a week, so I'll make use of it.

Further update:
Another project has taken me, and dragged me away from WotC by the hair. I do not think I'll get any work done until I do the oneshot it demands.

Chapter 6 at one third of the way done, and holding steady.

Chapter 3 has been up on urlpesquirrel's LJ for a few days now.

I'm sniffling again. Damn. I really hope I'm getting sick again. Life over all though has been life. Writing has been coming along at a decent clip, but I just started coughing rather violently.

To my dearest story, WotM and all characters residing with in,

You know, I have issues with you. You've been around for over three years, infesting my mind, so how could I not. You're something that I've lost hours of sleep over, and I think about you at least hourly. But:

I have plot lines lying on the way-side, forgotten and discarded.

The continuity in you sucks.

My writing style has changed drastically since you began, in my opinion.

But most of all, the plot has changed so many times it's not funny, or even vaguely amusing to me...

...Well now that I think about it, it is bemusing, however that's not the point.

Yugi, Malik, Ryou and all yamis.... PLEASE STOP CHANGING THE PLOT ON ME NOW! Please, I'm nearly ready to cry. Look we've gone through how many plots for this part? At the bare minimum it's eleven. This one's nice, this one is nearly written out and it's good.

Figured that it might be a good idea to update this.

In RL:
I moved. I hate this place.
I went on vacation and met up with urplesquirrel there.
We wrote some stuff together.... about 26 pages of stuff in two weeks.

Parts should be up later today. In other news I'm writing more and hope to have the rest of WotM up in two weeks.

Writing Progress:

Chapter 38 of WotM -- ??% written (I need to find my notebooks and get the whole bloody thing together.)

Chapter 3 of WotC -- 75%
Chapter 1 of Or Something Like It (yes, the new project 'Im working on with urplesquirrel) --99%  (editing)

Or Something is hopefully going to get written quickly due to there being two of us. It's YGO and the pairing is Yuugi/Atem. It's post-manga-ish, with stuff drawn from the anime. The original concept was urplesquirrel's.


Other fics are being worked on, so something might pop up every now and then that's a decent length.

I had a nice burst of inspiration yesterday when I dug up some old YGO stuff, and watched it. WotC's ch. 3 Is about halfway done, as is WotM latest chapter. Yea! And I might post a little  one shot or something later today.






Let's see, what else to talk about. Our kittens are very cute. I want a digital camera for my birthday (which is in a week). I'm going to see my best friend later today, which is going to wonderful. I dug up my list of YGO crossover ideas and found seven more that I'm seriously considering writing. Can I kill my muse? My muse is wonderful. But this is an addition to my other fandoms.

Anyway, I'm gonna write some and run a new snippet past my little brother to see what he thinks. I'm not gonna post it yet as it's the start of another story.

And I need to clean my room. Curses!

A little progress on WotM no change for WotC. My muse went on vaction to it's own little world. I had to draw a map for it.
