"So, now what?" the girl asked.

Sora rolled his eyes and wished for the hundredth time (more like the eighth) that Riku's mom hadn't agreed with the mayor and made them play with this girl. There wasn't a thing that she knew how to do. She couldn't swim, every step of making even a sandcastle had to be explained to her, and didn't even know how to dig for clams. She was stupid.

He also wished that Riku would stop encouraging and helping her. Did he have a crush on her or something? So what if she didn't know how to make a sandcastle? They should just be able to make it while she watched, silently.

Sora wanted Kairi gone, so that it would be just him and Riku, like it should be.

(It was several years later, as he stared at Riku in disbelieving betrayal that his wish came back to haunt him.
