Anzu swore to herself that next time she went to a tournament, she was wearing pants. And combat boots. And a gun, if she could manage it. While she had not been kidnapped as many times as Mokuba, this was starting to become far too common a position for her.

For the love of god, she was managing to untie the rope knotted around her ankles with her teeth!

Did I remember to pack toothpaste? she thought, as she felt the outermost knot slid down.

Really, she hadn't thought that anything like this would happen. There had been no strange video tapes, or people with strange golden objects other then Yuugi participating in the tournament.

The men who had taken her hadn't even had the guts to tell her why! Honestly, one would think that at she would have been visited now by who ever it was to gloat by now.

She froze at the noise outside the door, and then tucked her legs under her body. She almost had the knots, and couldn't afford to be sloppy now.

The men, their faces still masked, had a roommate for her.

The body had a necklace in the form of a card hanging from the neck, silhouetted by the light. It was one of the Kaiba brothers. She blinked and the door closed. It was black once more in the room.

"Mokuba?" she asked, her throat raspy from lack of use and water. She swallowed and said more clearly, "Mokuba."

No groan, or telltale sign of consciences answered her. She scooted over to him as best as her confined limbs allowed, hating to move from her slightly warmed spot. The concrete floor felt like ice.

She didn't know how long she had been out after they had caught her, but she estimated that it hadn't been long. They wouldn't have been able to snatch Mokuba if Kaiba was on his guard. Yuugi would have know she was missing after about thirty minutes, at the most an hour.

He was probably scouring the city for her now.

Kaiba would be looking for Mokuba the moment he disappeared.

She smiled slightly. It wouldn't take long for the rivals to connect the dots. And it shouldn't take long to find them. Kaiba had installed a tracker in Mokuba's card locket.

She pulled a corner of Mokuba's coat under her, glad he had put on a trench coat since last she saw him. She waited.

As she heard the sudden pick up in the speed breathing, she made a soothing noise.

"Hey, it's okay, your brother is coming soon."

"They have Mokuba too?" the voice was demanding, brisk. Seto Kaiba, not Mokuba.

"No, no, no. No." Anzu said, rushing to reassure him. "I thought you were Mokuba."

"Un." Seto grunted.

Shit. They really did get him.

"How on earth..." She could feel the glare, "Did they get you?"

He didn't answer, and she took the silence as a guilty one. She was used to it from Jounochi and Ootgi, even Yuugi on occasion, but not Seto Kaiba. It usually meant someone had done something monumentally stupid.

She tried to shift her hands in front, wishing that the flexibly she had gained from dancing extended further then her legs.

At least Seto was quiet. By now, the other boys would be climbing the wall, yelling at their captors, and in general calling to much attention to them.

"I've almost got my legs untied," she said.

"Almost?"

"I can't quite twist my head right to get the last loop."

"If..." the word was almost whispered, "If you can untie my hands, perhaps I could get yours."

As she shuffled around to behind him, she didn't know why she felt surprised by his offer. It was mutually beneficial.

It was awkward, shifting it so that she could even find his hands in the dark. As she brought her mouth towards the rope, she was once again glad that it was Seto, and not one of the others. Mokuba would have been fine too, but he had a tendency to get over excited.

Plus she didn't want to think of the jokes that would have resulted.

It was decidedly weird enough to be scrapping his skin with her teeth.

She knew this was a position that other girls would kill to be in, with Seto Kaiba at their mercy. Whether it was money or their idea of 'love,' Seto Kaiba would have to do something to get their help.  However, she could only drudge up a feeling of companionship.

And she was still feeling quite awkward as she attacked the last knot with her mouth. She scrapped Seto's skin again, with one of her eyeteeth. She wondered what his employees would make of the marks on Monday. They would indubitable show, and she was positive that she was going to draw blood soon. If it wasn't for the bite mark that she left when had mistaken his finger for a rope, he could probably pass the marks of as cat scratches.

With one last jerks of her head, she felt the rope slid to the floor, and heard the slither of it hit it. She leaned back and sighed. Her back was killing her.

She felt hands at her wrists. They were long and cold, but warmer then hers.

Seto untied her with surprising gentleness, but then she supposed, if you tugged the ropes hard, but tugged the wrong ones, it would take longer.

She felt blindly, before coming to his feet, and began to untie them with equal speed.

"Now what?" she whispered, her hands finding the pattern to undo the knot.

"We see if they were stupid enough to leave the door unlocked, thinking that tying us up was enough."

"And guards?"

"I can handle them."

She didn't doubt him.

They helped each other to their feet, and Anzu slow walked the length of the room to get rid of the pins and needles sensation in her feet.

"Ready?" asked Seto.

"Yes," Anzu said.

The door was not unlocked, but the hinges were on the inside, and with the screwdriver and pliers in Seto's coat, it proved not to be an obstacle.

There were no guards.

Anzu had never thought that stepping out into the sun with Seto by her side would feel so good.

It turned out a lot better then I thought it would. A good thing too. I need to write Seto again soon.
