Of course, it wasn't that easy.  All of Hogwarts was whispering that Hermione Granger had finally snapped.

"Cut throat," Hermione commented dryly.

Mai smiled. "It's Duel Monsters."

"It's still our world," he said to Yuugi.

And Yuugi replied with equal steel, "The other me is still here, if only in my memories."

In the halls, he looked closely at the new wand, and sighed.

He wanted his first wand back, so desperately.

"That--" Pomfrey jabbed at Harry's leg "--has some sort of clan of parasites in it. There must be dozens. Are you absolutely sure you're not in pain, Mr. Potter?"

"Like Sirius?"

"Harry, please, I beg of you, don't start seeing parallels here," Hermione whispered. "They aren't the same. Grindelwald killed hundreds of wizards, if not thousands or more."

"More like the end of the world as we know it," Daniel snapped sharply, and then slumped.

"Going public," Sam whispered, and it sound like a curse.

"Jayne," he offered and shook the stranger's hand.

"Sora."

It was the start of a beautiful disaster.

"No," he said hoarsely, his voice as raspy as a chain smoker. He was almost pleased at the effect it had on the others at the table. "I'm a Kaiba. I'm fifteen. No foster families."

"The Labyrinth," Ryou whispered again, surer of the pronunciation.

"A duty to the past."

It can be very nostalgic can't it? I still have a story idea kicking about from my 4th years of high school (YGO/CCS crossover which I still intend to publish one day). Egyptology books books make me have WAFFs too. ^_^

Well, I'd love to hear more about your FF/YGO crossover and since I know the fandoms I'd be happy to beta for you when you feel read to publish. Same goes for WotCs if you've got a block at the mo.

About half of those YGO fics up there date from that spring. It was a good season for me. I wasn't killing myself with school work (like I spent most of the next few years doing).

...I wanna do a YGO/Holic cross some day. (No, what I really want to do is write Yuuko more or less pwning or drinking her way though most of my fandoms, and then stopping for the occasional thing that even a dimensional witch hasn't seen before.)

Might have the boring explanation part done soon. Up to looking at it?

YGO/Holic, hmm... I think that there were plans for that in Lizeth's story Sweet Dreams, if I remember right there are some lovely pics and snippets up on DA though she never got that far in the story she has published on FF. I'd love to see your version! ^_^ (Yuuko is such a fun drunk! Bring Black Mokona along too!)

You seem to have the far more sensible disposition of coming up with ideas when you have the time, my plunnies always attack me during exam periods and intense summer courses... >_>

I'm happy to beta anything you've got so far, and I know from experience of your modesty that it's unlikely to be boring anyway. :p

You've probably been looking at it too long, with fresh eyes it wouldn't drag so much I'm guessing.
