So, what makes four people travel at least two hours to one univeristy they never attended?
An Adam Lambert concert! (and yes, this post is over a week late)
_yaten_kou_ and I had already been planning this for a while now, and then
immelmanturn and
yangwarrior joined us at the last moment on the weekend. That was all sorts of awesome, not the least of which was they brought
_yaten_kou_ with them.
We met up early for a picnic dinner I made, joked about how this wasn't even our university (or at least my alma mater), and people watched . We also watched people watching us, as we were rather conspicuous in our glammed up outfits and and all the picnic stuff we had with us.
Then we headed into the concert hall, squeezed our way to the merch booth, bought a small thing, and went into the concert hall.
The opening act was Allison Iraheta and I might check out her music at some point. I have a feeling her vocals are pretty good when I'm not going half-deaf. After that, there was a long wait before Adam came out, and there was a lot of dancing, or at least as much as can be done in the very limited space in front of seat.
Then Adam took the stage and it was awesome.
And after that? I got his autograph, and that was even more awesome. I might have said something really asinine while getting it, but it was worth it.
The drive back was hell.
And the next morning I went to work with glitter in my ears.
