I'm up to date with canon so by all means spoil ahead, hope it doesn't throw your ideas too out of whack though.
Compared to American cons, the British ones are pretty naff, and all the larger ones are in England. Went to one in Edinburgh a couple of years ago and was very disappointed. :(
