The dictionary definition didn't fit this, Hisoka decided. Not like the book was of use anyway. Other than to hit Tsuzuki over the head with.
None of them but possible the Gushoshin were related by blood. They were all of so many different generations and tastes, but yet, they were family.
Or so Tsuzuki had pronounced only a few moments ago.
Then he proceed to name each of them. He was obviously the favored eldest child, and Watari was his sister (or possibly transvestite brother). He then called for Tatsumi to be voted in as father.
At that point Hisoka had given in, and buried his face in his hands.
Tsuzuki only was spurred forward, proclaiming Saya and Yuma to be cousins from one side of the family, and Terasuma and Wakaba from the other. Much to Hisoka's continuing dismay, he did not quit there, and added the Gushoshin to the list as pets. Tsuzuki then fell silent, and brooded, drinking more sake, while the shinigami ribbed each other about their positions in the imaginary family.
Hisoka listened in, feeling a sense of contentment, glad to be part of the group, but not subject (for once) to be part of Tsuzuki's drunk delusions.
Or at least he had been until Watari asked if Hisoka was the disapproving neighbor.
The answer was provided by Tsuzuki, after a long moment of silence that stretched long enough for all to hear: "No, for all the time we spend together and all we've done, I suppose he must be my fiance."
