I sometimes wonder about my childhood self. I was reading [livejournal.com profile] edenfalling 's analysis of the Disney and BBC versions of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, and suddenly remember that when I was about 4 or 5,  after I'd seen BBC's version of LWW for the first (of many) time(s), I was Aslan for that Halloween. Not Lucy, nor Susan, not even Jadis, but Aslan.

Maybe I wasn't as aware of gender as I thought then? But I remember being hyper aware of it...

OMFG, I want that library back now, damn it. The one here doesn't compare to it in anyway, and there's a handful of books that I want to read again that I just realized I only remember in relation to other books. Damn it.

...When's the next time I go back to visit...?
